Hillbilly Hotrods

THE MAY 23, 2010 TMCCC RACE HAS BEEN MOVED TO TEXAS RACEWAY

We as a club came to be in about 1992 (officially). We were a group of racers that liked to come out and compete with the Texas Musclecar Club Challenge Series (TMCCC). We started out racing with DAPA (Dallas Area Pontiac Association) through a friend of ours. That did not last long for us. We then joined up with the Arlington Street Gang (remember them??). After running with those guys we went ahead and officially became our own club. We organized and proceeded to come out and create as much havoc as possible.

I feel as though we have been successful, The Hillbilly Hot Rods were TMCCC champs in 1997 and again in 1998, and then 2000. After a few years of finishing second and third overall we finally broke through for our fourth championship in 2007 by winning the inaugural Small Club split.

We invite ANYBODY that wants to come and run with the TMCCC to look us up. As a club we do not have club dues. We feel that if you have a hot rod then you have paid enough!! We feel that this is one of the things that sets us apart from the other clubs. Before some of our races we have a little get together, where we can just kick back and relax. We try to make it fun for everybody in the club. If you need help with your dial ins or just trying to get a handle on the basics, we are there for you. Don't forget our club letter designation is an " X " All you have to do is find any Hillbilly and they can direct you to us at the track. We usually park by the Corvette club.

On the Saturday night before the Rusk race there will be a party at my house along with a Bonfire ( provided we are not under burn bans ), we will just be getting together and shooting the bull. If you would like my info you can contact either myself ( Jeff Thompson ) or my father ( Leo ). We look forward to seeing you there.

Grass Roots Bracket Racing

My name is Robert Bichard and I am a member of the North Texas Mustang Club.

Some of our members have gotten together to start a new Bracket Racing Series called Grass Roots Bracket Racing. This series is open to all street legal cars, and does not conflict with any of the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge events.

We award trophies and cash prizes to the Winner. The Winner takes all cash up to 20 cars; we then start paying out to the Runner-Up and Semi-Finalist depending on how many car register.

I would like to invite your members to come race with us.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Robert Bichard
